Nike's decision to bring back the Air Max Sunder in 2024 has been met with plenty of fanfare, and the brand is continuing to build on the model's success with a new premium "Hemp" edition.
Official images reveal that this updated version features some contemporary-leaning texture swaps, with brown leather replacing the nylon upper and a tan leather mudguard portion with white TPR pods. The midsole and outsole also come in those same two tan and white tones, while a metallic silver mini Swoosh adds a touch of sophistication.
Overall, the design moves away from the sporty aesthetics of the 2000s original in favor of a more lifestyle-focused aesthetic. This premium "Hemp" Air Max Sunder is expected to drop during the Spring 2025 shopping season, likely before the end of March.
In addition to this new colorway, Nike has also seen success with the OG "Canyon Gold" version as well as a collaboration with Los Angeles streetwear brand Kids Of Immigrants. Subsequent gradient colorways have also helped to keep energy high around the revived model.
While an official release date and price have not yet been announced, the premium "Hemp" edition is sure to be a hit with sneakerheads looking for a fresh take on this 2000s cult classic. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the Spring 2025 launch.
