The beloved New Balance "Protection Pack" is making a comeback, this time in the form of a trio of exclusive colorways from UK retailer Size?.
The "Protection Pack" was one of New Balance's most popular and distinctive product lines just a few years ago, known for its deconstructed, distressed aesthetic with extended suede overlays. However, as the brand has shifted towards more futuristic silhouettes like the 1906R and 9060, the "Protection Pack" aesthetic has started to feel like a relic of a different era.
But for dedicated New Balance fans, the "Protection Pack" still holds a special place. And Size?, a longtime collaborator with the brand, is keeping the spirit of that line alive with this new exclusive collection.
The majority of the trio sticks to the classic "Protection Pack" formula, with two colorways featuring the signature distressed suede overlays in earthy brown and stealthy black/grey tones. But the real standout is a metallic silver colorway that puts a more "space age" spin on the concept, swapping the suede for smooth leather.
Uniting all three shoes is a touch of pale yellow detailing, found on the branding at the heel counter and the laces.
While Size? hasn't provided full release details yet, they've shared early teaser shots of the collection. We expect to see a more robust marketing campaign and confirmed release info in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for all the latest updates.
