Playboi Carti fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of his highly anticipated album I Am Music, and it seems the wait is finally over. In a recent update, the enigmatic rapper has confirmed that the album is officially "done."

In a series of social media posts, Carti shared that he and producer Wheezy have been discussing sampling JAY-Z's 2001 hit "Girls Girls Girls" for the new album. Carti posted a screenshot of a text from Wheezy that read, "Ima sample that girls girls girls for you for the album."

This news sparked speculation that the sampling could potentially delay the release of I Am Music, which was previously projected to drop by March 2025. However, Carti quickly quashed those rumors, stating emphatically, "MY ALBUM DONE ME N WHEEZY TALKING ABOUT SOME OL OTHER SH*TTT."

The confirmation that I Am Music is complete has sent shockwaves through Carti's fanbase, who have been eagerly awaiting new music from the Atlanta-based artist. Last week, Carti also appeared to hint at the imminent release of the album, tagging Spotify on his record label Opium's Instagram page and telling the streaming platform, "WHAT WE DOIN LETS GONE CLEAR DESE HO AHH NIG OUT."

Carti further ramped up anticipation for I Am Music by claiming that the album will be worth the wait, declaring, "N THE REPLAY [VALUE] ON 10." The rapper has also erected billboards in Los Angeles and Miami, teasing fans with the message "Music Is Coming" and featuring the Spotify logo.

With the March 12 deadline for the album's release just over a week away, it seems that Playboi Carti's I Am Music is finally ready to see the light of day. Fans can expect to hear the JAY-Z-sampling track, as well as the rest of the highly anticipated project, in the coming weeks.
