New Balance's Deconstructed 1906A Arrives in "Slate Grey"

In their continued efforts to elevate the dad shoe silhouette, New Balance is set to release a new colorway of their experimental 1906A model. Following the success of their "Protection Pack" which helped catapult the 2002R and 1906R to new heights, the brand is now introducing a "Refined Future" motif on the 1906A.

The latest offering sports a "Slate Grey" color scheme that has a distinctly industrial and deconstructed aesthetic. The extended panels from the original 1906R model give this version a unique look, setting it apart from the mainline releases. The stealthy, aquatic-inspired hue would easily blend in with the current tech runner trends that the 1906R has always championed.

Adding to the vintage-inspired vibes, the 1906A "Slate Grey" features a classic white trim throughout the sole unit and collar. This full embrace of throwback elements is then elevated with a touch of destructive flair, creating an interesting contrast.

While the new 1906A has already started to surface at select international retailers, a concrete US release date remains unclear at this time. When it does arrive stateside, expect a retail price of $170.

The New Balance 1906A "Slate Grey" represents the brand's continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of their iconic dad shoe silhouettes. By blending timeless design cues with a modern, deconstructed twist, they are ensuring the 1906 model remains a must-have for sneaker enthusiasts. Stay tuned for more details on this upcoming release.
