Mike Jones, the rapper known for hits like "Still Tippin'", has found himself in hot water after being accused of fabricating a massive concert offer in an attempt to shut down jokes about his small crowd sizes.

It all started when Jones posted a screenshot on Instagram of an alleged text message exchange. In the message, someone asked if $100,000 would be enough for Jones to perform at their son's bar mitzvah. Jones responded that they could "make that happen" for the six-figure fee.
Jones used this purported offer to clap back at his critics, claiming it proved the power of his famous phone number lyric from "Back Then." He wrote in the caption that the number was given out to allow fans direct access, and to prevent "janky promoters" from booking fake shows. Jones suggested that if the crowd size at his shows is small, it's because he's getting paid the big bucks regardless.
However, fans were quick to call out issues with Jones' story. The number the message was sent from was actually Jones' own number, raising questions about the legitimacy of the exchange. Additionally, the term "barmizfa" was misspelled, which is highly unusual for an event involving Jewish culture.
Many were also skeptical of the $100,000 performance fee, noting that such a price tag is typically reserved for much bigger artists. As one commenter pointed out, "$100k gets you someone like suicideboys, beach house, lil yachty, Ludacris, Meek Mill, etc. seems mildly unbelievable that someone would pay the same price for a private performance" of Mike Jones.
Jones didn't stop there, however. He posted additional messages allegedly showing other lucrative concert offers, including one from Hawaii offering $25,000 plus $10,000 for hotel and travel expenses.
In the captions, the former Swishahouse signee took more shots at his critics, writing: "lol while yall trying to be funny & make fun of when the shows be light. just know rather it's 1 person or 8,000 people, that price don't CHANGE!!"
He went on to challenge the commenters, saying he'd "love to see what yall make per show per event per anything!! so I can get the laugh last!! Just kno every time u post the private light shows, just kno I still got paid."
Whether or not Jones' claims of massive paydays are true remains to be seen. But one thing is clear - the rapper is going to great lengths to silence the haters and prove his continued relevance in the industry.
