Kendrick Lamar Announces Grand National Tour with SZA

Hip-hop superstar Kendrick Lamar is gearing up for a massive tour in 2024 in support of his surprise album GNX. The Compton rapper announced the "Grand National Tour," a 21-city North American arena trek that will feature special guest SZA.

The tour is set to kick off on April 19 in Minneapolis and will wrap up on June 18 in Landover, Maryland. Along the way, Kendrick and SZA will hit major markets like Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Chicago. The tour will also include stops in Kendrick's hometown of Los Angeles as well as SZA's birthplace of St. Louis.

Presale for the Grand National Tour begins on December 4, with general tickets going on sale two days later on December 6. Fans can purchase tickets through the tour's official website.

GNX, Kendrick's sixth consecutive chart-topping album, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 319,000 equivalent units, the biggest opening week for a new rap album in 2024. The project features multiple appearances from his longtime collaborator SZA, including the hit single "Luther."

In addition to dominating the Billboard 200, Kendrick is also ruling the Hot 100 chart, occupying 7 of the top 10 spots this week. His lead single "Squabble Up" is poised to become his third #1 hit of the year.

The tour announcement comes just a few months after Kendrick praised SZA for creating the "most beautiful" songs of her generation. Fans are surely in for an unforgettable experience when these two titans of modern hip-hop hit the road together next year.
