In a new legal development, music mogul Diddy is facing a lawsuit from his former Bad Boy Entertainment co-founder and president, Kirk Burrowes. This lawsuit comes just days after Burrowes also filed a suit against Diddy's mother, Janice Combs.
According to the report, Burrowes' lawyer Tyrone Blackburn has filed an 18-page complaint against Diddy in a New York court. The complaint alleges a "deeply disturbing" and "toxic environment of coercion, fear and psychological manipulation" at Bad Boy under Diddy's leadership.
Burrowes accuses Diddy of repeated sexual harassment, physical aggression and coercion, including unwanted advances and inappropriate conduct during business meetings. He also claims Diddy used "violence, blackmail and financial extortion" to force him to give up his 25% stake in the company.
This is not the first time Burrowes has sued Diddy over this issue. He previously filed a lawsuit in 2003, alleging Diddy deceived him out of $25 million. That lawsuit was ultimately dismissed for falling outside the statute of limitations.
In his latest suit against Janice Combs, Burrowes alleges she "knowingly participated in the fraudulent scheme" to take control of his 25% stake in Bad Boy after he gave it up due to Diddy's alleged actions.
Diddy's representative has dismissed the latest lawsuit as a "frivolous attempt to re-litigate claims that have been repeatedly thrown out of court over the past 30 years." They accused Burrowes and his lawyer of intent on "wasting the court's time and resources."
Meanwhile, Janice Combs has staunchly defended her son against the numerous accusations of sexual assault and sex trafficking he has faced since 2023. She has called the public treatment of Diddy a "public lynching" before he has had the chance to prove his innocence.
With these new legal battles unfolding, it remains to be seen how Diddy and his team will respond to the latest allegations from his former business partner. The case highlights the complex and contentious history between the two parties that has spanned decades.
