The longstanding partnership between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 label continues to evolve, as the duo unveils a new collection that merges high fashion and athletic performance. For the Spring/Summer 2025 season, Y-3 is introducing six fresh colorways across some of adidas Running's premier silhouettes, including the adios Pro and adios 9.
While Y-3 is known for putting their own unique spin on existing models, this latest release largely maintains the technical features that make the adios Pro and adios 9 such formidable performance shoes. The uppers still utilize adidas' LIGHTLOCK technology for a secure, adaptive fit, while the LightStrike Pro midsole provides responsive cushioning for the demands of the road.
Where Y-3's design touch is most evident is in the color palettes. The adios Pro showcases a midsole gradient that transitions from cream to brown to dark grey, complemented by either a clean cream or stealthy black upper. Meanwhile, the adios 9 leans into brighter hues, with sky blue and "Magic Lime" options standing out from the more neutral tones.
Beyond the footwear, Y-3 is also rolling out a comprehensive range of running apparel, including tees, jackets, and other performance-minded pieces for both men and women. This holistic approach underscores the brand's commitment to blending fashion and function.
The Y-3 adios Pro is available now for $350, though many sizes are already sold out. The adios 9, priced at $250, is slated for a US release later in 2025. Sneakerheads and running enthusiasts alike will want to keep an eye out for these stylish yet capable offerings from the adidas x Y-3 partnership.
