50 Cent's New Action Flick Dominates the Box Office in 2025

In a roaring start to the new year, 50 Cent's latest action movie, "Den Of Thieves 2," has made a huge debut at the box office, landing the top spot. According to Variety, the film brought in a staggering $5.8 million on its opening day, surpassing the $5.6 million opening of the first "Den Of Thieves" movie back in 2018.

While 50 Cent himself does not appear on screen in this sequel, the film still boasts a star-studded cast with the returns of O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Gerard Butler. Fif took to Instagram to celebrate the film's success, writing: "Check me out Den of Thieves 2 🎥 #1 in theaters what away to start 2025."

This box office triumph comes on the heels of another exciting prospect for 50 Cent - the possibility of hosting the 2025 Emmy Awards. Comedian and actor DeRay Davis recently called for Fif to take on the hosting duties, saying: "This is gonna sound crazy — and I don't know if he'd do it — [but] I think 50 Cent should host the Emmys. He's funny…and deserving. Why not?"

50 was thrilled by Davis' suggestion, responding on Instagram: "@deraydavis this is so cool, you saying this made my day. 2025 is gonna be the year. Turn down for what!"

While 50 Cent may not have any experience hosting awards shows, he is no stranger to the stage, having just wrapped up his first concert residency in Las Vegas. The residency, however, did receive some criticism, with one blogger describing the sound issues and lack of crowd engagement. But in typical 50 fashion, the rapper hit back at the review, defending his performance style.

Overall, it's shaping up to be an incredibly successful year for 50 Cent, with his new movie dominating the box office and the possibility of him taking the Emmys stage. Fans are undoubtedly eager to see what other surprises the multi-talented artist has in store for 2025.
